Scott Thiessen is an independent design technologist and front-end developer based in Seattle, Washington.
Over the past two decades, Scott has assembled a diverse portfolio of creative work for cultural institutions and companies large and small—including The Art Institute of Chicago, SFMOMA, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, KEXP, Amazon, MoPOP, Space Needle, Cinerama, MOHAI, University of Washington, Henry Art Gallery, and The Seattle Public Library. His work has been recognized by Communication Arts, SXSW, SEGD, Webby Awards, FWA, Taschen, IDCA, and others.
Previously, he's held hybrid design and development roles at Qualtrics, Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab, Schema Design, Belle & Wissell, Co, Goodness, If/Then, and CrashShop. He's also taught interactive media classes at the School of Visual Concepts and Seattle Pacific University.
In his downtime, Scott enjoys hiking/biking/running trails, doing some very modest woodworking, and exploring the patterns/puzzles in nature.
